Join the artist and friends of the Studios of Cocoa Beach as they celebrate the first of planned monthly spoken word events presented in a setting of local art. Each month will feature a variety of spoken performances.
On Saturday, July 21, 2018 from 7 to 9 pm Studio artist Jeff Tressler will be sharing his unique Hometown Tales and poems and a reading from his latest book for children “Gull Ability” a fanciful exploration of life along the shore. He will be signing this book as well as his four previous books for adults and children.
Jeff is an author, storyteller, and poet whose goal is to “Paint the world with words.” Since moving to Cocoa Beach five years ago he has collected local stories and inspirations. His books and tales celebrate local sites and people and the experience of living near the ocean.
Feel free to bring beverages and snacks to this family friendly event at the Studios of Cocoa Beach, 165 Minuteman Causeway in downtown Cocoa Beach. The studios is the creative hub of the beaches, a non profit art gallery featuring the work of local artists and offering classes for adults and children.
