Designing Watercolors from a Photo” Workshop at Studios of Cocoa Beach with Dorothy Koliba

Designing Watercolors from a Photo” Workshop at Studios of Cocoa Beach

If you are a watercolor artist looking for new inspiration, the Studios of Cocoa Beach has a workshop for you.  Join us on Saturday January 27 and the following Saturday February 3 for a two day workshop with Dorothy Koliba.  This accomplished artist and instructor will show how to change and enhance your photo of a landscape to create the best interpretation possible. Dorothy previously painted in oil but says only watercolor, and it’s ability to create soft color, gives her the greatest satisfaction. Her goal is to share the beauty of nature and our surroundings through her paintings

Students should bring several black and white copies of a photo.  By cutting and pasting the photo you will learn what to keep in, what to take out and what to add.  The more different photos of the subject, the better. You will bring  all your own painting supplies and need to have some experience in watercolors. Cost  is $80 for the two day workshop. Contact Dorothy for more info, a supply list  and to sign up - dekoliba@hotmail.com / 321-327-8490 / www.dorothyekoliba-paintings.com

The Workshop will be held at the Studios of Cocoa Beach from 10 am to 2:30 pm. Located at  165 Minuteman Causeway in downtown  Cocoa Beach, the Studios is a non-profit gallery and the creative hub on the Beach with a full schedule of workshops.  The Studio is open Monday and Tuesday 10:30am-3:30pm, Wednesday through Saturday10:30 am -8pm, and Sunday 11 am – 4 pm.  For more information go to www.studiosof cocoabeach.org or call 321-613-3480.
