The Downtown Art Gallery in Titusville is hosting a two day exhibit event “Past, Present and Future: The art of Diane DeShong Cannon” on November 17 and 18, 2017. On Friday evening from 6 to 9 pm the gallery will host an opening reception for the exhibit with food bites , wine and the opportunity to meet Diane. The following day from 11 am to 3 pm the Gallery will be open and Diane will be doing a watercolor demonstration.
Diane, a fifth generation Floridian, has been painting for over 40 years. Her semi-abstract florals and landscapes are popular, as well as her skinny palm series.. Diane fills her watercolors with light and vivid colors. She rarely begins with a drawing, preferring to simply put brush to paper in her unique and very recognizable style. Diane’s inspiration is found in her and her neighbor’s gardens, or in memories of the 14 countries she and her husband have visited in the past two years. The exhibit will feature paintings from throughout her career, her Past and Present. With a multitude of new ideas begging to be painted , there is sure to be a colorfull Future for this talented painter.
The exhibit will be on display from November 17 through December 30. The Downtown Art Gallery is located at 335 S. Washington Ave. in downtown Titusville. Regular hours are Monday through Friday 10am to 5 pm, and Saturday from 11 to 3. For more information call 321-268-0122 or visit www.thedowntownartgallery.com.
