Word portraits with Adria Carey Perez: Reflecting on Travel & Nature to Paint a Picture with Words
Saturday, September 30, 9:30 am to 1:30 pm
Whether you have dreams of writing your memoir, a novel or series of poems, a travel guide, or even a business plan or cover letter, there are three elements of writing that you can master to reach your goals. Over the course of four hours (divided between instruction, practice, critique, and revision), we will delve into the use of concrete, specific detail; argumentation; and structure. And, yes, you already have all of these skills!
Everyone has the ability to write, and harnessing our experiences in travel and nature, we will build on these skills to elevate what we have to say to the level of art.
This is a 4 hour class (with a working lunch) for beginner/intermediate students.
Materials needed: Writing implement and notebook; laptop if preferred.
Contact Adria for details and registration at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 321-586-7054
