The Studios of Cocoa Beach announces three new classes for October.
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced artist you are sure to find a class you’ll want to take at the Studios of Cocoa Beach. The following classes begin in October and join the list of 6 ongoing classes (which still have openings)
Touch Painting with Deborah Mores: An Art Experience to Draw on Your Inner Artist
Saturday, October 7, 2017 11 am to 2 pm
This class explores turning our feelings into art. Working with safe, water based paint we will roll several colors onto a flat surface, cover it with tissue paper, then using only our fingers and hands we will transfer feelings and movement from deep inside of ourselves. Successive pieces of tissue are laid down on the paint-covered board and your hands never touch the paint unless you want to. We can even close our eyes and allow the process to flow. After creating a number of pieces we will discuss our feelings and see how the tissue art can be mounted and augmented with crayons, ink, colored pencils, glitter, etc.
This process is for everyone with or without any experience and is very calming and meditative. Bring a mix of your favorite colored pencils, crayons, markers and other art supplies and a piece of 16" x 22 " foamboard, mat board or other firm support to mount your chosen piece. The instructor will also be bringing materials for use by all. Cost $ 45. Contact Deborah for details and registration at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 908-507-7167
