Touch Painting with Deborah Mores: A calming Art Experience to Draw on Your Inner Artist
Saturday, October 7, 2017 11 am to 2 pm
This class explores what can came through us from our own heart. Working with safe, water based paint we will roll several colors onto a flat surface, cover it with tissue paper, then using only our fingers and hands we will transfer feelings and movement from deep inside of ourselves. Successive pieces of tissue are laid down on the paint-covered board and your hands never touch the paint unless you want to. We can even close our eyes and allow the process to flow. After creating a number of pieces we will discuss what people are feeling. With the remaining the time I will demonstrate how the tissue art can be mounted and augmented with crayons, ink, colored pencils, glitter, etc.
This process is for everyone with or without any experience and is very calming and meditative. Students bring a small mix of your favorite colored pencils, crayons, markers and other art supplies and a piece of 16" x 22 " foamboard, mat board or some other firm support to mount your chosen tissue art. The instructor will also be bringing materials for use by all. Cost $ 45. Contact Deborah for more info and to sign up at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 908-507-7167
