The Camera Club of Brevard will hold its next meeting on Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at 6:30 p.m. at the Eau Gallie Civic Center, 1551 Highland Ave. in Melbourne. The evening’s speaker will be Barry Kirsch from Sanford, Florida. Barry’s topic for the evening is “Project Photography: How to Preconceive Your Photography through Props and Sets.” Barry will talk about unconventional lighting techniques, the use of uncommon angles and composition, and the artful ability to powerfully communicate complex feeling and mood with a single photographic image.
Barry is a member of the National Press Photographers Association, Wedding and Portrait Photographers International, Lightstalkers, and is the founder of Foto Fire and iPress News. In addition to his client assignments and personal creative projects/exhibits, Barry also guest lectures, maintains his popular Murder City Blog (The Photographer's Notebook), and leads technical workshops at photography programs and events around the world. The May photo contest theme was “Green.” The First Prize, blue-ribbon winners in both Class A and Class B are shown above. The June photo contest theme is “Delicate.” Members may submit one photograph to the contest.
The CCB meets the first Tuesday of each month (except December) at 6:30 p.m. at the Eau Gallie Civic Center, 1551 Highland Ave. in historic Eau Gallie. Guests are always welcome.
