May's Featured Artist at Art and Antique Gallery is Catherine A Garson

Outstanding Impressionistic/Expressionistic Works

Catherine A. Garson, named one of Chicago's top artist by BCBS has sold over 400 impressionistic, expressionistic works, winning many awards including best in show and best oil painting at the Eau Gallie Art Show is Art and Antique Gallery’s featured artist for the month of May.  

 Catherine likes to work large, in oils and watercolors. About 80 percent of her work is commissioned and in private collections. Catherine has a degree in art and has taught at the museum as well as in schools and enjoys teaching children. She loves the world and has taught over seas as well.  

Her style is a light, airy and impressionistic with an expressionistic line.  She owned her own medical marketing company and consulted for Donald Rumsfeld.  Two of her paintings are currently hanging at FIT, The Bride and Samba On The Beach. Catherine has transparencies of her work and would like to publish a book some day.  Catherine has suffered some personal setbacks, but continues to paint and sell her works of art. 

Catherine looks forward to her show and the mural she is doing at the coffee shop on Highland Ave.  An opening reception is planned during the May First Friday Gallery Stroll from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. The event is open to the public, free of charge.  The Gallery is located at 1429 Highland Ave. Melbourne.
