Jim Kalupa....The World As I See It
April 25 – May 29
Harris Corporation Art Gallery
at the King Center For the Performing Arts
Melbourne, FL – A collection of photography from Jim Kalupa entitled, The World As I See It, will be on display at the Harris Gallery in the Maxwell C. King Center lobby from April 25 – June 5. Over 30 pieces of Jim’s work will be on display, 20 of which will be showing for the first time. The majority of the photographs are travel related with a combination of photographic imagery combined with fine art effect.
Travel and photography have been two lifelong passions of Jim Kalupa. In traveling the world for more than forty years, he has been able to capture the most beautiful and unique sights with the lens of his camera. For years he felt the only true art form was the image seen through the camera lens and captured on film. Now he has entered the world of digital imaging which offers countless creative options that allow freedom of expression limited only by the photo artist’s ability and imagination.
A FREE open to the public reception is scheduled for Thursday, May 5th, from 5 pm – 7:30 pm which includes light refreshments and cash bar. The exhibit can also be viewed by ticketed patrons attending King Center main stage performances. All of the artwork is available for purchase.
Mr. Kalupa will be on hand to discuss his work with King Center guests attending the following main stage events: Hugh Panaro, Saturday, April 30; Delbert McClinton, Friday, May 6; Classic Album Live: David Bowie, Saturday, May 7; and The Monkees, Thursday, May 19.
