February 29 – March 27
A collection of paintings from area artist Elizabeth Kaufman will be on display in the Harris Gallery at the Maxwell C. King Center lobby from February 29th through March 27th. It may viewed by ticketed patrons attending King Center main stage performances.
Elizabeth is a self-taught artist from Louisville, Kentucky. Her art is passionate, naive, bold, colorful, and extravagantly detailed. Her narrative art is inspired by the natural and supernatural world, literature, music and fantasy and is best known for her medium in acrylic on canvas and masonite.
Prior to her show at the King Center, Elizabeth has exhibited in Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee, Melbourne and Vero Beach, Florida. She has also exhibited at the Brevard Art Museum, The Foosner Museum and Fifth Avenue Art Gallery.
Additional locations for viewing her art in Melbourne Florida; Art in Public Places by the Brevard Cultural Alliance, also in the Strawbridge Art League Gallery in Downtown Melbourne, and the Off Center Art Gallery in the Eau Gallie Arts District.
She has lived with her husband David in Melbourne since 1987.
