The Cotswolds is a rural area in south central England featuring a range of rolling hills known as the “Cotswold Hills”. It is dotted with attractive small towns and villages dating back hundreds of years with thatched roofed homes built of Cotswold limestone. Popular with locals as well as visitors, it is known as an area that is typically “English”. Designated as an “Area of Outstanding Beauty” in 1966, it is an artist’s dream location. And happens to be one of Jim Kalupa's favorite places in the English countryside, resulting in a number of repeat visits. By portraying them in a somewhat subdued manner, the images in this collection reflect the tranquil nature of The Cotswolds.
World traveler and photographer, a Wisconsin native who has lived in the Caribbean, Florida, Southern California, Jim Kalupa now calls Florida home for the fourth time. Having studied photography formally in the past and taking pictures for well over forty years, he started sharing his finished work recently with those who appreciate photo art. Most of his work represents his travels. And because he enjoys variety in almost every aspect of life, his portfolio covers a very eclectic and wide range of subject matter and style. The “Cotswold Collection” consists of six pieces of photo art of the scenic Cotswold area in England, a favorite place that he has visited a number of times. The collection is his attempt to capture a small bit of English country style.--
