Richard Winslow - Challenges of Art Seem Endless

RICHARD WINSLOW “Challenges of Art Seem Endless”
FEATURED ARTIST
ART AND ANTIQUE STUDIO & GALLERY - FEBRUARY 2016

The forever learning artist and fundraiser, Richard Winslow, of Kennebunk, Maine will exhibit at Eau Gallie Arts District (EGAD) during the month of February.

Richard Winslow travels from Maine to Florida to continue his art studies and display his works of art.

Learning art takes Richard Winslow from oil painting (his primary medium), to pastels and watercolors.  He does pottery and ceramics as well.   He loves outdoor painting, but much of his development and pleasure as an artist have come through regular figure and portrait studies.

At this point, he considers himself a continuing learner; because to him “the challenges of art seem endless”.  Richard willingly accepts that he really enjoys being in the process of learning and exploration. He strives to paint each day.   Learning through artistic workshops` is also a part of that process.   He recently attended a watercolor workshop with one of the countries well know watercolorist, – Paul Jackson through the Brevard Watercolor Society.

Richard also has the good fortune to parallel his art and artistic development as an artist with fund raising events.  Many of these events have been involved with Land Trust Preservation, Art Education, and other worthy community endeavors.  Richard intends to continue in this rewarding direction.

He enters art shows on a regular basis, represents himself in galleries both in Maine and Florida.  He maintains memberships in the Kennebunk Artist Guild, the Art Student Guild of Brevard, the Brevard Watercolor Society, and the Vero Beach Museum as well as the Southern Maine Pottery Guild.  The public is invited to an open Reception, Friday, February 5th – 5:30-8:30pm.  Refreshments will be served.
