Bayside High School Call for Art: Sculpture of a Brown Bear

Bayside High School is looking for your help! They’re looking to build their identity and stand out in the community. In order to do this, they’d like to add a substantial sized bear sculpture to the front of their school as a symbol of their school pride, and as a beacon of community involvement. They’d like to be as creative as they can in this endeavor, and they’d like to utilize someone from the local art community to help out with this project. They’re hoping that you’d be interested in this task, and that you can work within their project specifications. They’re certainly excited about this venture, and are hoping that you’ll be equally as excited to be a part of this awesome project that will hopefully be integrated as a meaningful part of the community legacy.

As previously mentioned, they have a few specifications for the project. Here’s a brief list of them, and if you have questions or ideas about any of these, please feel free to contact them.

This project must:
--be a Bear (specifically of the Brown Bear species)
  --be approximately 6-8 feet tall
--have the durability to last over the years while remaining outdoors
--it would be nice if it could be refinished or cleaned easily if vandalized

If you are interested here is some information that they’d like from you:
--your ideas for the project/what you can do
  --examples of your previous work/portfolio
--a sketch or mockup of what you’re proposing (if possible)
--estimated total cost of your project
