Intro to the Art of Henna…with Linda $30
Are you curious to learn more about Henna? Have you always wanted to learn how to *do* Henna? If so, your chance has arrived! YOU will learn how to do Henna Art!! We’ll start with some basic design elements, and move into some beginning patterns. Everyone in the class will take home prepared notes, design sheets, and a j-bottle of henna paste – so that you can begin doing your own art right away!

Fearless Surface Design pt. 2
Students will learn the following techniques:  Fabric Painting, Free Form Silk screening on Fabric: using paper and tape for designs, Mark Making with found objects and rubber stamps, Making Stamp and paint Strips

August 15 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Whimsical Pet Paintings with Shari Sherman  $70
Pet Painting- 3-hour painting workshop using acrylics and Shari’s method of “chalk sketching”.   All supplies are included. Please bring a photo copy of your pet (head only, close up) on plain paper. Appropriate for mature teens and adults, experienced or not!

Glass Tube Pendants        with Cat Kerr $125.
Glass Tube Soldered Pendants will show you how to transform a mini glass tube into a totally unique rustic treasure to wear around your neck. You will learn the
basics of using a soldering iron, how to set up your soldering work station and how to maintain your iron. You will also learn how to make solder caps with jump rings and how to make and personalize soldered charms. Once the components are completed Cat will go over the final steps which include filing, adding patina and personalizing the outside of the glass. Each pendant is unique and personal. The pendant holds even more meaning with the treasures it carries within the delicate glass walls.

Fearless Surface Design pt. 3 – drawing on screens and printmaking
Screening on Fabric with water soluble crayons,  Drawing on screens, Screen rubbings,  Drawing directly on to fabric with oil pastels, Experimental, exploratory, experience. Using mad skills from class 1 (Fabric Collage) and 2 (Free Form Screening and Mark Making)

September 1 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
Fabric Collage with Midge  $30.
Guided class and demo on my process of background, subject matter, layering, grunge patch, grunge stitch, fearless, desecration creation, borders, embellishment. Pinning and hand stitching. Machine stitching optional. Bring your machine.
There will be an area set up for Mark making and painting on fabric. (No screening)
Optional….$15 materials fee to Instructor (at class) for mark making and embroidery supplies and $15 materials fee to Instructor (at class) for fearless fabric and scraps.

September 10 @ 10-4 and September 11 @ 10-4
“Mood Indigo” with Lynda Ozgur   $160.  $30 materials fee paid in cash to Instructor day of class.
Explore the magical mystical world of indigo dyeing. In this two day workshop, we will learn the history of indigo dyeing, the unique characteristics of indigo, how to make a proper indigo vat, and two methods of making designs on cloth with indigo; introduction to shibori (Japanese tie dye) and mark making with a clay resist.
This class is designed for beginners.
