June Events in the Eau Gallie Arts District

The Eau Gallie Arts District Main Street (EGAD) has multiple exciting offerings happening in the arts district in June. A new restaurant has opened--Otjundu’s--on the corner of Highland and Montreal Avenue with a parking lot for 30 cars across the street. Otjundu’s is German fare with a South African flair. The restaurant has seating under the live oak out front as well as a lovely biergarten in the back. They are currently only open for dinner.

Anaya Coffee, formerly located in the Melbourne Beach Market, is opening a coffee shop on Highland Avenue this month, too.

Fridays in the arts district just got a whole lot busier, too. First Fridays have a fun slate of activities planned for summer beginning with June 5’s theme of Endless Summer where we celebrate living in paradise with live music from Vintage, a band, food, and arts and crafts vendors, beer and wine (cash only) and special happenings occurring in the shops and galleries along Highland Avenue. Summer hours are 6:30-9:30 p.m.

Beginning on Friday, June 19, the one and only Orlando Food Truck Bazaar will be hosting EGAD EATS! on the third Fridays for the rest of 2015 on the southern end of Highland Avenue. The best parking will be on Pineapple Avenue in the large lot located in front of Pineapple House. The Orlando Food Truck Bazaar is the original food truck party and there will also be arts and crafts vendors and entertainment. Bring the gang and your own chair, if you want to have a seat. Hours are 5:30-8:30p.m.
