Melbourne, FL— The Creative Arts Foundation of Brevard Inc. sponsored the semi-annual "All That Art" photograph competition exhibition at the Eastern Florida State College King Center in November this year. The Photograph “Rainy Day Pier” by local photographer, Ruth Stanley-Quillian, was awarded an Honorable Mention Ribbon.
The black & white photograph “Rainy Day Pier” was taken on the Daytona Beach pier during a Camera Club of Brevard outing. The Creative Arts Foundation of Brevard Inc. is run by Ms. Suzanne Frank and her husband Mr. Marshall Frank. The juried exhibition started on October 27 till November 30, 2014.
Ruth says "It's exciting and an honor to have a photograph awarded a ribbon in the "All That Art" Exhibition and see my work alongside others on the walls.”
Ruth is a listed member photographer with the Brevard Cultural Alliance located in Brevard County, Florida, and has several images that have been placed with the "Art in Public Places" program. She is a member of the Camera Club of Brevard and the Florida Camera Club Council and has received numerous competition awards and temporary displays in a local camera shop. She is also a member photographer artist with the Central Brevard Art Association, and has artwork displayed with the "Art in Public Spaces" for exhibit and for sale.
Ruth lives in Cocoa with her husband Ed who is also a photographer. Together they are the owners of QCA Photography & Graphic Art. They are both enrolled in the Eastern Florida State College Professional Photography Certificate program.
