Cocoa, FL— The Creative Arts Foundation of Brevard Inc. sponsored the semi-annual "All That Art" photograph competition exhibition at the Eastern Florida State College King Center in November this year. This year there was a "People's Choice Award", where all the photographic images displayed in the King Center during the month of November were viewed and voted on by people attending different events at the King Center. There were 769 votes submitted, and with a total of 60 votes, local photographer, Ed Quillian's Photograph "Sunrise Storm" won the award. “Sunrise Storm” is the title of the artwork and is of Cocoa Beach Pier on a stormy sunrise morning. The Creative Arts Foundation of Brevard Inc. is run by Ms. Suzanne Frank and her husband Mr. Marshall Frank. The juried exhibition started on October 27 till November 30, 2014.
“It's was an honor to be part of the juried photography exhibit at the King Center's "All That Art" said Quillian. "There were a lot of talented photographers in this event, and I thank all who voted for my photographic image."
Ed is a listed member photographer artist with the Brevard Cultural Alliance located in Brevard County Florida, and has several images that have been placed with the Art in Public Places program. He is also a member photographer artist with the Central Brevard Art Association, and has artwork displayed with the Art in Public Spaces, located at the Cocoa Beach Country Club for exhibit and for sale. He is a member of the "Camera Club of Brevard", and has received numerous competition awards and temporary displays in a local camera shop. He is also a member of the Florida Camera Club Council. Along with his wife Ruth, he is attending classes at Eastern Florida State College to achieve a Professional Certification in Photography.
