From Abstract to Reality

The varied artwork of local artist Rene Griffith

Cocoa Village, FL— A new show entitled From Abstract to Reality will exhibit the artistic visions of local artist and photographer Rene Griffith at Clay Stephens Lifestyles Showroom & Gallery in Cocoa Village.

The public is invited to meet the artist and the designer at the opening reception on Saturday, October 18 from noon to 4:00 p.m. The exhibit will be on display through November 29, 2014. Clay Stephens Lifestyle Showroom and Gallery is located at 633-A Brevard Avenue in Cocoa Village (about 4 blocks south of SR-520).

I'm happy to be showing a variety of my work which includes original abstract paintings, Polaroid and digital photography, and my newest mixed-media paintings called 'modern vintage fauxtographs'. I've been looking for a way to combine my photographs with paint and these pieces are a result of this melding. These one-of-a-kind works of art have been described as Americana that's modern, a little edgy, and yet still evoke a sense of nostalgia. It's been a real joy to create these paintings because they are pure fantasy; the scenes don't exist except in my imagination!”

We are excited to show a broad range of Rene's artwork that will appeal to art enthusiasts and collectors, and those looking to enhance their homes and offices with art,” says Stephens. “My goal is to show you how any style of art can be integrated into your décor and beautify your home.”

Griffith works from her Indialantic home art studio. She travels extensively in search of interesting landscapes and still life subjects. Griffith also teaches workshops and is an active member of the art community. Griffith's fine art photography and paintings are in private and corporate collections in the U. S. and are licensed to art publishers internationally. To see more of her work, visit her website at www.renegriffith.com.
