Children’s Wearable Art Workshop by Rita Bernstein

“Sock it to ‘Em!” Create bright and colorful socks in this children’s workshop led by local artist, textile designer and art educator Rita Bernstein. Each participant will design and color 2 pair of socks using various techniques and delivery methods. Dyes are acid-free, archival, lightfast, and washable. All materials will be provided.

October 21, 2014 - Gallery Talk by featured artist Ann Clarke

5:15 p.m. reception, 6 p.m. gallery talk, Funk Center Galleries

$10 Admission; Free for FOT members, FL Tech students, and faculty/staff 

Ann Clarke serves as dean of Syracuse University's College of Visual and Performing Arts. Dean Clarke has exhibited her work across the U.S. and internationally, including at the Noyes Museum of Art in Oceanville, N.J.; gallery gen in New York City; Dongshin University in the Republic of Korea; and the Everson Museum of Art. In her studio, Two Sticks Knitting, she creates one-of-a-kind art to wear, including coats, hats, and wall hangings. Her work is featured in many private collections and has been published extensively. She holds a bachelor of fine arts degree in painting and printmaking from the University of Michigan and a master of fine arts degree in textiles from the Rhode Island School of Design.
