Wednesday, October 29th, is the last chance this year to see a master sculptor at work at Fifth Avenue Art Gallery. Ellen Pavlakos, a long time member, has set up the front gallery as her studio. She has been working on her pieces each Wednesday during October from 1 to 4 pm. The front gallery looks so alive! Watching Ellen work is truly an opportunity not to be missed.
Ellen is internationally acclaimed and collected. The gallery has many bronze pieces of her work. Pavlakos' sculptures are exhibited in museums and galleries throughout Florida. She has exhibited in many state and national competitions as well as competitions in Paris, France, Athens and Thessalonica, Greece and Nicosia, Cyprus.
The figure is Ellen's vehicle of expression. There is a continuing thread of concern with human emotions through most of her work. Through a link to the classical Greek, a positive feeling of the human experience and glorification of life communicates directly to the viewer.
The Fifth Avenue Art Gallery, across from the Foosaner Art Museum in EGAD, the Eau Gallie Arts District, is the premiere art gallery in Brevard County. We will be celebrating our Fortieth Anniversary in February 2015.
