Ellen Lindner's Fabric Collages Making the Rounds
Forget summer vacations. Ellen Lindner's artwork pieces seem to prefer traveling in the fall. She currently has eight collages away from home, plus one that just returned.
Lindner just shipped two pieces to the International Quilt Show in Houston for exhibits that will travel for a year. "York Wall" is part of the Tactile Architecture exhibit, and "Mangolicious" is included in the Hands All Around exhibit. The latter is an international show featuring outstanding art quilts.
In addition, Lindner's pieces "Crotons," "Crisscross," and "Mountain Meadow" will be on display in Jacksonville as part of the QuiltFest show.
Finally, three of Lindner's fabric collages were juried into an art quilt exhibit at the Whistler House Museum Art Gallery, in Lowell, MA. They are "Cosmo Boogie," "Ti Plants-A-Glow-Glow," and "Ripening."
Ellen Lindner enjoys loosely depicting vivid Florida foliage in fabric, and she's delighted to share her results with others. More of her work may be seen on her website, www.EllenLindner.com
