Mad Hatter's Tea Party at Arts in the Garden
When Lewis Carroll famously penned "Alice in Wonderland" back in 1865, he could not have possibly imagined what North Brevard Arts in the Garden has up its sleeve in feverishly preparing for an enchanting and elaborate interpretation of the Mad Hatter's Tea Party taking place on November 9th, 2013 from 2-6PM.
The "Garden" located at the corner of Rock Pit Road and Tropic Street in Titusville will be magically transformed to the surprise and delight of every guest the dares to go down the proverbial "rabbit hole" to find what awaits on the other side.
"The tea party will include divinely costumed adults and children who will live out the most delicious and preposterous moments of Carroll's classic, masterful soirée," explained Maxine Trainer, executive director of the nonprofit organization started in 2005.
"This is a rare and joyous opportunity to give children and adults a spectacular chance to experience the living arts along with helping to fund future creative projects that serve disadvantaged youth in the county.
For a nominal fee of only $5.00 per person, participants will be treated to a fantastical afternoon of the Queen of Hearts croquet, crafting hats for all ages, painting the roses red, a caucus race, an uproarious version of Simon Says overseen by none other than the Queen and Alice herself and a real tea party with baked goods of the most mischievous kind. "This is an event unlike anything else taking place in Brevard County and we don't anyone to miss this extraordinary chance to come and take part in it," Ms. Trainer concluded.
North Brevard Arts in the Garden seeks to improve children and youth's access to all the arts through its inter-active and hands-on programs that not only teach art-related and pragmatic gardening skills but direct involvement as active citizens in Titusville and beyond. Trainer is dedicated to providing low cost activities and events that can be seen and enjoyed by the entire community.
