Titusville Art League Schedule of Classes

"Take Better Pictures with Your AUTO Modes"
Thurs., Sept. 19th - 10 am to 1:00 pm
Cost: TAL members $20; non-members $25

This class is all about taking better pictures in general and specific subjects such as people, landscapes, motion, etc. The student will get a better understanding of light, its quality, and how to make it work for them. They will learn about color, white balance, & flash. "Scene Modes" and how to use them will also be discussed. This class is recommended, but not required, to be taken first.

"Take Your Camera OFF Auto"
Thurs., Sept. 26th - 10 am to 1:00 pm
Cost: TAL members $20; non-members $25

This class is all about learning to take control and get "that" picture. It's about ISO, metering, aperture, shutter speeds, and some of the other features that will give the photographer full control & creativity.
Students will be given handouts on everything discussed, so they can continue learning and referring back whenever needed. They will be eased into shooting like a pro. This is the point where a student's interest in photography turns into passion.

What to Bring
-A three-ring binder to hold handouts. Camera manual - optional.
-Cameras fully charged; memory card (preferably empty).
-One or two photographs of your own to discuss and critique.


"Computer Basics & Social Media
To Promote Your Art"

Description: Topics to be covered will be E-mail, Facebook (including creating artist pages), Pinterest, Instagram, Twitter, and Linkedin. Also included will be how to use these apps on your Smart Phone!

NOTE: Each class is limited to five (5) students.
Pre-registration required.

Cost is $15 per 3 hour session for members; $17 for non-members.

Cut and Pierced Chinese Take-out Box Luminary Workshop

The object is to learn how to cut and pierce lamps shades for a future workshop.

COST: $15 TAL members; non-members - $17

Supplies to bring include a sharp exacta knife, a darning needle (for piercing), small cutting board, a hand towel, and a flameless votive candle.

All items can be purchased at Walmart.

TAL is supplying the boxes, glue, and flower designs.

TWO Workshops!

When: Sept. 14, 2013, Saturday - "Painting Florida's Beautiful Clouds"
Sept. 28, 2013, Saturday - "Painting Realistic Bodies of Water"

Where: Titusville Art League

Time: 10 AM to 3:00 PM each workshop

Cost: $75.00 per person per workshop

Who: AnnaJo welcomes artists with any range of expertise - from beginner to advanced. TEN (10) students are the maximum for this workshop; four students minimum.

or before Wednesday, Sept. 11 for the 9/14 class; Sept. 25 for the 9/28 class.

Materials: She suggests you at least have a small, medium, and large brush. Canvas size can 16 x 20 or
