Therese Payne Ferguson April Exhibit at Eau Gallie Public Library

Therese Payne Ferguson has painted in just about every medium out there, but after taking up watercolors she found her true passion for art. She has painted her entire life as well as being one of the most popular watercolor instructors in the area. Her subjects are always full of bold colors that grab you once you walk into the room and range from tropical, still life, florals and every now and then the amazing birds we see in our area. "For me, it's a journey, to first study my subject from all angles and then to play with the composition and color to bring it to a point that I am happy with it."

A signature member of the Florida Watercolor Society and the Southern Watercolor Society, she has won numerous awards both local and national. Ferguson has been commissioned to do show posters for various events throughout the state and will have one of her paintings on the ArtWorks Art Festival poster this year. She is also a longtime member of the Brevard Watercolor Society.

Her work can be seen at the Art & Antique Studio, a Fine Art Gallery and Studio in Melbourne, Florida in the Eau Gallie Arts District at 1419 Highland Avenue, as well as many locations throughout Brevard County in cooperation with the Brevard Cultural Alliance's Art in Public Places.
Ferguson's artwork is being exhibited the month of April at Eau Gallie Library, 1521 Pineapple Avenue in Melbourne.  Hours:  Monday 12-8 pm, Tuesday 9-5 pm, Wednesday 9-8 pm, Thursday, Friday & Saturday 9-5 pm, closed Sunday.  Artwork is for sale through the artist.  For more information e-mail thereseferguson@aol.com or call 321-749-6962.
