Melbourne, FL--Nancy Hamlin-Vogler will explore the Infinite in her solo show at the Fifth Avenue Art Gallery. The show will begin April 29 and run through June 2nd. Hamlin-Vogler’s artwork is thoughtful and intuitive, using mixed mediums on prepared paper. Her favorite materials combine acrylic paints with gesso, pastels, charcoal pencil and pasted paper elements from her silkscreens and drawings. “My work reflects my roots in Cape Cod and Maine, with worldwide travels, an M.A. in French literature, and studies in Buddhism enriching life’s journey.”
The St. Augustine artist will also give a Second Saturday Gallery Talk and Demo on May 11 at 2 p.m. at the gallery.
Hamlin-Vogler studied art at Wells College and learned the screen printing process while a grad student at the University of Maine. An award-winning artist, she is a member of the St. Augustine Art Association and exhibits in gallery shows throughout Florida. For the past ten years she has co-directed the Louise Freshman Brown Art Workshops in St. Augustine.
The opening reception for the show will be Friday, May 3, 2013 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Meet Hamlin-Vogler as you enjoy viewing the artwork.
