New Class Beginning Tuesday, March 19:
The Joy of Creation Through Collaboration Instructor, Jean Thomas
Imagine the possibilities you can find in a piece you create. By starting with an idea and building on it, you can explore pattern, imagery and color. Using clay as a foundation, in this hand-building class, students will create a series of related pieces that will explore design and surface decoration. Learning to use slips, sgraffito, press molds and underglazes, you will enliven the surfaces of your creations. The goal of this class is to teach a variety of hand-building techniques, coil, pinch, and slab methods to create your own unique series of pieces.
My goal as instructor is to share with you the student, the joy of creation through collaboration. All skill levels.
Class meets 10am to 1pm every Tuesday for six weeks, beginning March 19. $145 for six weeks. Please call Studio Director, Valerie Karas 321-543-3645
