Richard Hausen featured at Ocean Art Gallery

Palm Coast Oil Painter Introduces New Art

FLAGLER BEACH, FL – Ocean Art Gallery will celebrate the colorful oil painting of Richard Hausen at an Opening Reception on Friday, April 5th from 5:30 – 8:30pm. Hausen’s vibrant oil paintings bring nautical and wildlife subjects to life in unique and pleasing ways. In addition to painting on stretched canvas and canvas board, he uses cement board to give select paintings a three dimensional quality.

Hausen, also an accomplished portrait artist, attended the Paier School of Art in New Haven, CT and studied with nationally known portrait artist Don Renner.  He is a member of the Flagler County Art League, where he has taught portraiture and life figure classes.

Other Ocean Art Gallery resident artists, whose works also will be on display, are sculptor and photographer Krystyna Madejczyk, stained glass artist Rob Carlton and photographic artist Bob Carlsen.

The April 5th art opening reception at 200 S. Oceanshore Blvd. (A1A) in Flagler Beach is open to the public and coincides with Flagler Beach’s “First Friday, Music in the Park” event on the town’s Veterans Park. The evening will be filled with music, food, and fun for the whole family. Art lovers can enjoy Hausen’s art and visit the festivities in the Park, just 200 feet away.

Also on tap that evening right next door will be Ocean Books & Art’s opening reception for artist Onicas Gaddis. Refreshments will be served in both locations.
