Saturdays 1:00 – 4:00 pm
Spring Session: March 23 – May 11, 2013
Explore the basic techniques in watercolor painting through work from still life, photographs, or composites and your imagination. When weather permits, work outside. Students will learn basic color theory, shading and shadowing, and much more! Students can work at their own pace. Instructor works one-on-one with students as well as with the group. Class explores brushwork, developing skills with washes, solid planes of color vs. transparencies, and glazing.
Georgi Gelalles has an M.F.A. from Florida State University majoring in painting and sculpture. Her work has been shown in many group shows both in NYC and in Melbourne. She has taught mixed media, painting and sculpture to children and adults for many years.
