Nature Artist - NANCY VICE
Art and Antique Studio & Gallery
March 1 – 29, 2013
Nature artist Nancy Vice lives in Malabar, Florida. Her love of animals and nature is the inspiration for most of her paintings. Preferring to be outside as much as possible, studying her subjects in their natural environment is one of her favorite things to do. She especially enjoys feeling the closeness of the One who created it all. Nancy’s art journey started with pencil. She received many awards for her pencil drawings, one of which was purchased as a permanent collection in a Museum. She learned how to paint with watercolors under the instruction of Charles Velek, well-known local watercolor artist. In recent years she has added acrylics to her media of choice as she studies works of such artists as John Seerey Lester and Robert Bateman. Her paintings are part of the private collection of many individuals and businesses. Using her skills in drawing, she paints with much attention to detail – describing subject, place and atmosphere while allowing the viewer to add their own assumptions of sounds, smells and feelings of one moment in time. Nancy feels extremely blessed to have this passion to share with her viewers the simple yet amazing details of creation.
It’s only natural to see Nancy’s paintings and walk away with a true appreciation of what she sees in nature and captures on paper.
