The Fifth Avenue Art Gallery is excited to announce our March exhibition and fundraiser. WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DAY MAKES:24 Hour Art Challenge, is a special exhibit of art in which 24 artists will have a 24-hour period in which to create an artwork based around a small set of prompts and guidelines to be revealed that dayThese 24 works will be sold in a unique way to raise money for Very Special Arts Brevard, a local organization committed to providing persons with disabilities the opportunity to reach their full potential through the arts.

The opening for WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DAY MAKES: 24 Hour Art Challenge will be held on Friday, March 1, 2013 in conjunction with First Friday Art Walk. This reception is free and open to the general public.

While we are anticipating 24 wonderful artworks based on the talents here in Brevard County, much of the focus will be on the creative process and why artists make art. Thanks to the creative talents at Brandt Ronat and Company we will be videotaping a portion of each participating artist’s work day to share that experience with our audience. This documentary film about the project will be screened during our Film Premiere at the Eau Gallie Civic Center on Friday, March 15 at 6:30 p.m. A Gala Reception follows at 7:30 at Fifth Avenue Art Gallery where ticket-holders will select their artwork and enjoy complimentary light refreshments.
