News from Space Coast Doll Artists
Annie Mayer Hesse, a renowned and talented doll artist who has recently relocated to Sanford, Florida, will be teaching a workshop sponsored by the Space Coast Doll Artists. The workshop will be held at Art & Antique Gallery & Studio in the Eau Gallie Arts District, on Friday and Saturday, January 11 and 12, 2013. The workshop is open to participants at a cost of $110 plus supplies.
For more than 30 years, Ms. Hesse has passionately been creating intricately embellished art dolls, several of which have appeared in newspaper and magazine articles, books, television and film. She was also twice invited to participate in the White House Christmas Collection of American Artists. (Her biography and artist statement can be found online at http://www.anniedolls.com/bio.htm). The Space Coast Doll Artists are thrilled to have Ms. Hesse share her talents with their members and the community.
The mission statement of Space Coast Doll Artists is “to further the enjoyment and appreciation of art dolls, develop individual creativity, help doll makers grow in excellence as doll artisans, and promote doll making as an art." New members are always welcome, and the first meeting for prospective members is free!
