Local Fiber Artists Make Strong Showing in “SAQA in Florida” Exhibit

Of the 29 artists selected to show their work in the “SAQA in Florida” exhibit, 7 of them live locally.  This show is on view at the Peabody Auditorium in Daytona Beach, through December 2nd.  It showcases fiber works from Florida artists, all members of Studio Art Quilts Associates. Fiber art is very diverse and this exhibit reflects that.  Artwork ranges from
heavily machine stitched and stuffed pieces to abstract works which include scraps of raw edged fabrics, paper, and paint.

The local artists included in this show are Gabriele DiTota, Jo-Ann Jensen, Ellen Lindner, Andrea Luliak, Lisa-Marie Sanders, Susan Rienzo, and Irene Watson.
