DeLand, FL: Florida Museum for Women Artists will host an Artist Talk at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2012. Many of the 53 artists currently on display for the exhibit 3rd Annual Juried Show will discuss their works. Contemporary artists were selected for this annual show. Art works in an array of materials and styles are on display including oil, acrylic and watercolor paintings, photography, clay and wood sculptures, and mixed media art.
The event is free for members and $5 for non-members. General public is welcome. Refreshments will be served. A list of the participating artists and a preview of their works is available at
The Florida Museum for Women Artists is the only venue in the state of Florida, and the southeast United States, to provide art and other artistic disciplines exclusively by women artists and includes educational programming for all backgrounds. The museum is located at 100 N. Woodland Blvd., DeLand, Florida, and is open Tuesday-Saturday: 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., The museum is closed Sundays, Mondays and major holidays.  Travel time is less than 1 hour from Orlando, 1.5 hours from Jacksonville, 4 hours from Tallahassee, and 3 hours from south Florida areas.

Brevard County artists Susan Martin and Nancy Dillen were invited to display their paintings Bromeliad and Blackberry Winter in the Third Annual Juried Exhibition at the Florida Museum for Women Artists in DeLand, FL. The work will be on display through January 12, 2013. Susan Martin won second place with her painting.

The Florida Museum for Women Artists is a 501(c) (3) organization. Membership is open to all who wish to support the mission.  The mission of the Florida Museum for Women Artist is to inform the public of accomplishments by women artists in all artistic disciplines; identify and promote exceptional Florida women artists, both emerging and established; and reveal   important efforts by women artists throughout history.
