Local Artist Accepted for Orlando Museum of Art




Debi Pettigrew, pastel artist, has been selected to participate in the 1st Thursdays event “Meow” at the Orlando Museum of Art (OMA). Her piece “Grandpa Cat”, which recently appeared on the July cover of the local magazine “Pet Gazette”, will be on display at OMA on Thursday, August 2, from 6-9 p.m.

Ms. Pettigrew is an accomplished artist whose work ranges from realistic wildlife portraits of endangered species to gorgeous pastel abstracts. She is represented by the Art Gallery of Viera, located at The Avenue. Her work, along with 26 other local professional artists, can be seen Monday through Saturday from 10-9 p.m. and Sundays from 12-6 p.m. as well as at the gallery’s Second Saturday Night Shows, presented monthly from 6-9 p.m. For more information contact the Art Gallery of Viera, 321-504-4343 or www.artgalleryofviera.com.
