Oil Painting Class – How to Accurately Paint a Head

When/Where:  July 7th and 14th, 10-1pm - $45.00
Courtyard Studio
1419 Highland Ave
Melbourne, FL 32935

Lisa @ 415-606-2692

In this two-day workshop you will learn the technique, planes and anatomy involved in accurately painting a head. On the first day I will demonstrate and give a short lecture.  In the next class the students will work on a painting of their own. This differs from portrait painting in that we will focus on the technical side of getting a head accurately on the canvas without the elements of formal portraiture such as props or indicating the subject’s profession.  Reference materials will be provided.

Please bring:                       Brushes:  I recommend filberts in these sizes
9x12 canvas or panel                         2, 4, 6, 10

Oil paints:
Titanium White, Cadmium Yellow, Cadmium Red,
Yellow Ochre, Burnt Sienna, Alizarin Crimson and
Ultramarine Blue.
