Worldwide Sketch Crawl

Worldwide Sketch Crawl
April 21, 2012
Downtown Melbourne
8:30 am to 4:30 pm

Melbourne will be participating in the 35th Worldwide Sketch Crawl on Saturday April 21, 2012. Artists in more than 90 locations, from Sydney to Detroit, from Copenhagen to Tel Aviv, are joining other artists from all over the world in a giant sketching extravaganza.

SketchCrawl is the brainchild of Enrico Casarosa, who came up with the idea after attending a bachelor party pub crawl. From that he came up with the idea of a Sketch Crawl, spending the day sketching everything in his path, as he writes, “ from the coffee I drank to the buses I rode”. He came to the realization that though it was a great deal of fun, it would be more so to do it with a group of artists.

From there the idea of a Worldwide Sketch Crawl evolved and now the 29th WorldWide SketchCrawl is here! What fun to be out there sketching and know that there are artists all over the world doing the same thing!! We will also be including sketches from the day on our own website and  we will be able to download sketches to the SketchCrawl site as well.

More details to follow. If you are interested in participating for  all or any part of the day, please contact organizer Susan Stone at susan@jsusancolestone.com  or (401) 596-4266
