Classes at Indian River Potters' Guild

These are Leaf Platters from a special workshop. Each piece is more beautiful than you can imagine!!


Melbourne, Florida-Indian River Potters' Guild announces its workshops, class schedule and special events for April/May 2012.

Brevard County's premiere pottery studio offers ongoing classes using rolling registration, classes with guest instructors, themed workshops as well as private workshops for groups, corporate team building, or private parties.
ONGOING ADULT CLASSES

Create with Clay          Tues 12-2p,  $80 for 4 wks
A Taste of Clay            Sat     1-3p,   $80 for 4 wks

These classes are ongoing with rolling registrations. 
Clay is $16 for a 25 lb bag.

GUEST INSTRUCTOR CLASSES
Raku Firing and Wheel Thrown Pottery-All Levels
Tues 6-9 pm beginning April 17- May 15, $120 for five weeks

Sculpture in Clay with Suzanne Peiffer
Wed 9-Noon, beginning May 2-May 30, $125 for five weeks

THEMED WORKSHOPS
One unique clay project is offered at each themed workshop.  No prior experience is required.  The student will work step by step alongside the instructor, gaining confidence and exploring a creative medium, resulting in a personal masterpiece.  The fee is $45 which includes everything from start to finish.  The item is glazed and fired by the studio and ready for pick-up by the artist about two weeks later. Upcoming workshops include:

Puffy Heart  Mon, April 2   6-8 pm
Vase            Mon, April 16 12-2 pm or 6-8 pm
Puffy Heart  Mon, April 23 12-2 pm or 6-8 pm
Leaf Platter Wed, May 2    1-3pm

SPECIAL EVENT
Our annual Cinco de Mugo event is a festive ceramic art show held each spring.  This year's event is Friday, May 4, from 5:30 to 8:00 at the studio -- 1542 Guava Avenue, Melbourne. Live music, great ceramic mugs, cups and goblets for purchase, and a wonderful group of friends of the studio al make for a fantastic evening.
