Remember Polaroid cameras? Ever wanted to learn about the creative uses of Polaroid films? Take a walk down memory lane and learn about the history of Polaroid cameras and films at a presentation given by local artist and photographer, Rene Griffith. Rene, a former Polaroid Creative Uses Consultant in San Francisco, worked exclusively with Polaroid films for  nearly a decade. She'll talk about the history of Polaroid, show assorted vintage cameras, and show samples of the creative techniques produced using various Polaroid films and cameras. Rene, best known for her  hand-altered Polaroid "fauxtographs', will also talk about her own photography and travels using a vintage 1972 Polaroid SX-70 camera.

This presentation is part of the Second Saturdays series of informative talks and demonstrations hosted by Fifth Avenue Art gallery in the Eau Gallie Arts District. It is free and open to the public.
