Melbourne, FL , The Foosaner Art Museum Guild presents noted artist Christopher
Maslow demonstrating his technique at its next Museum Monday program on
Monday, January 23, 2012 at 10 a.m. in the Museum Galleries. A
native of Melbourne Beach and former Los Angeles resident, Maslows
recent work includes fine art commissions and large-scale murals for
both public and private ventures.
Maslow began as a street artist with a love of graffiti art. He moved to Los Angeles
where he began receiving commissions to create large-scale murals and
also attended the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. In 2009 Maslow returned to Melbourne, opening Slow Gallery X Fashion Boutique where he showcased his clothing line and art. With
commissions for his art greatly on the upswing, Maslow closed the
boutique, deciding to focus on his art from a new gallery space at 1008 E. Strawbridge Avenue.
Still
Motion, a Christopher Maslow Fall 2011 solo exhibition at the Art
Gallery of Viera, featured native Florida wildlife as well as a number
of Brevard Zoo celebrities
all painted in the artist's exploding acrylic
style. Currently, Maslow is
working on a Gateway mural to appear on the back of the Eau Gallie
Square Pavilion, one of several commissioned by the Eau Gallie Arts
Distrist (EGAD).
