Miniature Paintings on Display through December
Attendees of the Third Annual Art in Miniature Show at Art and Antique Studio Friday evening had to use lighted magnifying glasses to see the images of paintings as small as 3 x 3 inches. The tiny canvases made a BIG IMPACT on the visitors to the fine art gallery.
This is a national juried show including the work of professional miniature artists locally and from all around the country. Entries are from as far away as California, New Hampshire, New York City, Virginia and Ohio.
The work is exquisite and breathtaking. Subjects range from wildlife to landscapes to still life. Almost all two dimensional media are represented: oil, acrylic, water color and intaglio. If framed, no side can exceed eight inches in length and if unframed, no side can exceed 6 inches, but many of the pieces are as small as 3x3 inches.
Please stop by to see if you can read the small print in some of these beautiful original pieces of artwork. These works of art are the most meaningful gifts one can give, and this show is a perfect opportunity to
select a one-of-a-kind gift for that special person.
