Treasures Revealed: Selections of the Permanent Collection

The Foosaner Art Museum’s permanent collection spans twenty centuries and falls within a few broad parameters: works on paper, paintings, sculpture, decorative arts, and industrial design. Of special note are two collections of substantial size and depth: the Ernst Oppler (b.1867 - d.1929) archive which includes hundreds of the artist’s prints and drawings and the Enrique and AnaMaria Conill Mendoza Collection of American Industrial Design an exceptional collection of 327 pieces of Chase Art Deco objects designed by the era’s leading architects, artists & product designers. Portions of these collections will be on display along with works by important 20th century women artists including Alice Aycock, Jennifer Bartlett, Miriam Schapiro, Janet Fish, Viola Frey, Isabel Bishop, and Louise Nevelson.
Friday, December 16 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. in the Galleries
Hafer House Jazz will perform holiday inspired jazz in the galleries. $10 Admission and FREE for museum members and Florida Institute of Technology faculty, staff and students. Jazz Fridays are sponsored in part by WFIT and AT&T Real Yellow Pages.
