FIGURE & PORTRAIT DRAWING AT THE GUILD

The Artists Guild of Brevard has been offering Open-Studio drawing sessions with live models to area artists for more than thirty years. The Guild has a fully equipped studio on the third floor of the Arcade Building in Historic Downtown Melbourne, with the added convenience of Meehan's Office Supply across the street selling a full-line of art supplies.

GUILD SCHEDULE

Thursdays - Life Study
Participants work in all many mediums. Charcoal, pen and ink,
and watercolor.
The session begins with quick gesture poses progressing to two
20 minute poses.

Saturdays - Portrait/figure
The model is seated in the same pose for the entire time.
This offers time to develop a more finished piece of
work. Many artists work in oil as well as other mediums.
Occasionally we'll book a model for two sessions in a row
which allows painters the opportunity to complete a finished
piece of work.

Times: 9:30 am - 12:30 pm
Fees: Life Study - $10.00

Portrait - $8.00

Students: Free with student I.D.
